Regional – EU-N Cluster (location: UK)
EU-N: UK, Ireland, Nordics (Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania), BeNeLux (Belgium, Netherlands, Luxemburg)Major Tasks
- Active member of the EU-N Leadership Team & EMEA RMSQC Leadership Team, contributing to strategic decision making for the RMSQC and Commercial CH business.
- Role model VACC leadership for the medical team across the EU-Ncluster, by leading, developing, empowering and coaching the Medical team in EU-N to ensure consumer centricity, operational excellence, technical competence and capability development.
- Actively support the local implementation of regional/divisional medical strategies & activities (incl. medical governance), tailored to the specific local/cluster needs, by promoting cross-functional support between medical affairs and marketing-sales-trade marketing departments.
- Provides scientific leadership to the business in a timely, proactive and systematic manner to further enable them to perform scientific marketing and fully exploit the business potential of our major brands.
- Contribute to the business growth and sustainability by managing medical activities across EU-N and ensuring the right medical resources is available to deliver business outcomes and overall cluster and regional strategy (this includes life-cycle management as well as new product development-related activities).
- Externally focused by developing and strengthening strategic and scientific relationships with selected Thought Leaders, societies and associations who can provide outside scientific assessment, assistance and support aligned with the respective brand/category goals and priorities.
- Disseminates balanced, substantiated and relevant information about CH products to internal and external stakeholders.
- Identifies the opportunities and threads in the external environment and proactively utilizes insights.
- Provides expert guidance and leadership on a variety of topics including; controversial issues related to the competitor’s promotional activities, approval of advertising copy/promotional copy in accordance with the respective legislation.
- Accountable for medical governance and medical information topics in UK-IE.
Who you are?
- Education: scientific degree in pharmacy, medicines or life science (i.e. PhD, PharmD etc.) or equivalent
- Experience: Proven track record and significant experience in Life Science / Consumer Health Medical Affairs or related positions
- Knowledge in medicinal products, medical devices, cosmetics and food supplement regulation is essential.
- Experience in working cross-functionally and with teams across countries
- Strong leadership capability, underpinned by a coaching and empowerment approach
- Demonstrated ability to work in a medical capacity enabling business objectives while ensuring appropriate governance
- Competencies: Strategic Thinking, Consumer & Customer Focus, Business Acumen, Actively Participate, Team Player, Taking Risks-Building Contingencies, People Leadership Communication Skills: able to explain complex scientific topics in an understandable way and clearly associate with business case
