MEDICAL ASSISTANT EYWL in Lewiston, Maine

The starting rate for this position is $16.89 an hour.

The rate of pay displayed reflects the beginning of the pay scale. At the time of an offer, the determination of your offer will reflect your skills and experience as it relates to the position.

Summary

The Medical Assistant EWYL (Earn While You Learn Program), will be required to participate in the accelerated MA training program through our education partners while also completing on-the-job training in the outpatient setting.

Upon successful completion of the program, the employee is required to sit for the national certification exam and must pass to remain employed as a Medical Assistant within the practice they were hired.

Attendance for both on-the-job training and in the classroom is required to complete the program.

Job Requirements

  • High School or GED required.

  • Ability to pass CASAS testing through our education partners.

  • BLS within 6 months of hire.

  • Advanced computer skills, ability to learn EMR software.

  • Read/comprehend written instructions.

  • Follow verbal instructions.

  • Able to work with the public in person, by telephone, and via written communication.

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Collaborates well with others.
