Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Medical Billing Specialist in New York. This role involves handling the processing and posting of medical payments, which is crucial to the smooth operation of our healthcare services. The successful candidate will use their skills in eClinicalWorks, Microsoft Excel, and other accounting software systems for efficient billing functions and claim administration.

Responsibilities:

• Process outstanding payments and ensure they are accurately uploaded into the system

• Utilize eClinicalWorks extensively for all billing tasks

• Code and post account transactions accurately

• Support the Director of Healthcare Revenue Cycle in maintaining efficient operations

• Ensure the timely and accurate entry of charges and payments

• Handle the collection processes for accounts receivable

• Address and resolve any billing-related inquiries

• Maintain a neat and organized work area to facilitate efficient data processing

• Collaborate with the team to resolve system issues and ensure continuous operations

• Prepare and present regular reports on billing activities and progress Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required

• Must be adept at using Microsoft Excel

• Experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) is beneficial

• Knowledge of Appeals process in medical billing is necessary

• Familiarity with Billing Functions is essential

• Ability to handle Claim Administration effectively

• Understanding of Collection Processes in medical billing is crucial

• Experience with eClinicalWorks software is desirable

• No specific years of experience required; candidates with varied experience levels are welcome to apply

• Candidate must be open to continuous learning and skill development in the medical billing field

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work is crucial

• Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team is necessary

• Problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously is required

• Must have a high level of integrity, trustworthiness, and ethical standards

• Willingness to comply with all legal and company regulations regarding medical billing is essential.
