We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Collections Specialist in North York, Ontario. As a specialist in the healthcare and social assistance industry, you will be responsible for managing accounts receivable, addressing customer inquiries, and maintaining thorough and accurate records.Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage customer credit applications with precision and efficiency

• Maintain comprehensive customer credit records

• Reconcile invoices, enter and post them appropriately

• Research and resolve customer inquiries promptly and effectively

• Prepare aging reports that accurately reflect account status

• Execute billings and collections calls as needed

• Maintain and post journal entries, update and reconcile the sub-ledger to the general ledger

• Analyze data critically and understand accounting policies to perform your tasks

• Multitask in a high-volume environment while remaining detail-oriented

• Proficiency in using healthcare software such as Accurint, Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, and Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE)
• Experience with EHR SYSTEM for seamless management of electronic health records
• Solid understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR) processes and procedures
• Demonstrated ability in managing appeals in a healthcare setting
• Familiarity with various billing functions within a medical environment
• Extensive knowledge and experience in claim administration
• Proven expertise in collection processes, specifically within the healthcare industry
