They are involved in a wide range of projects, including quality assurance, taking writing projects from first draft to final release, reviewing Creative copy for accuracy and compliance, coming up with tactics for brands, and doing research for both existing and prospective clients. Medical Copywriters will have their work checked by a Creative Copywriter when necessary, and report to a more Senior Medical writer for mentorship and quality assurance.What You’ll Do

  • Help foster a collaborative environment
  • Write copy for any kind of promotional piece across any medium
  • Attend project briefs, and work with the cross-functional team
  • Work with Art Directors at project inception to understand specs and text restrictions
  • Be a champion for assigned brands
  • Collaborate with other Creatives to achieve the project’s communications objectives
  • Responsible for copy updates for assigned projects, and/or delegate
  • Manage and source reference documents for your brands, and/or delegate
  • Be a resource for the cross-functional team on regulatory issues (PAAB, ASC, etc.)
  • Provide insight into disease state and therapeutic landscape for your brands
  • Proofread when needed
  • Participate in brainstorms and ideation sessions
  • Participate in conceptual development
  • Review and sign-off on pieces prior to release

What You’ll Need

  • Relevant education (Science degree)
  • Promotional Medical/Pharmaceutical and/or CME experience is a must
  • 1-2 years’ experience as a copywriter, in an agency or similar environment
  • Ability to craft engaging, digestible copy for any audience in any channel
  • Excellent command of English grammar, punctuation and spelling
  • Professional knowledge of medical terminology and expertise at articulating pharmaceutical process/requirements and manage regulatory submissions
  • A team player who is: Eager to collaborate and is solutions-oriented and resourceful, an avid listener and learner and can manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Dynamic thinking with skill for simplifying complex concepts
  • Meticulous – attention to detail is a must
  • Accountable, independent, and mindful of others
  • Self-motivated
