We are looking for a Medical Front Desk associate to join our healthcare team in the East Hartford, Connecticut area. This role is centered around providing administrative support in a medical setting. You will play a key role in managing patient influx, appointment bookings, and general administrative duties.

Responsibilities:

• Handle incoming phone calls professionally and efficiently.

• Welcome patients and visitors, ensuring a positive first impression.

• Coordinate patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, and canceling.

• Verify patient insurance details, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

• Collect co-payments and process transactions accurately.

• Assist clients in completing necessary paperwork efficiently and accurately.

• Maintain a clean and organized reception area to enhance patient experience.

• Facilitate effective communication with team members or onsite providers as required.

• Perform other administrative duties as assigned.

• Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system for managing and updating patient records.

Requirements

• Possess experience in a Medical Office setting

• Capable of performing Receptionist Duties efficiently and effectively

• Familiarity with EMR – Electronic Medical Records is required

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines

• Proficient in managing multiple tasks and prioritizing work

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment

• High school diploma or equivalent is required

• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

• Ability to handle stressful situations and remain calm under pressure

• Strong customer service skills and ability to interact politely with patients

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required

• Ability to learn new systems and adapt to changes in procedures
