Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT)
Location: Northern Ontario
Rate: $60/hr
Contract Length: March 10th-12th & March 20th-23rdOur client is seeking a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) to join their hospital team in Northern Ontario. This role involves performing high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment, ensuring patient safety and imaging accuracy in a fast-paced healthcare environment.Key Responsibilities

  • Perform X-ray, CT, MRI, and fluoroscopy procedures as ordered by physicians.
  • Prepare and position patients while ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Operate and maintain diagnostic imaging equipment according to protocols.
  • Follow radiation safety and ALARA principles to minimize exposure.
  • Assess image quality for diagnostic accuracy before submission to radiologists.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with hospital policies.
  • Work collaboratively with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare professionals.
  • Explain procedures to patients and address any concerns.
  • Follow infection control and workplace safety protocols.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Radiation Technology.
  • Registered and certified with CAMRT (Canada).
  • Licensed to practice in Ontario.
  • Experience in hospital, clinic, or diagnostic imaging settings preferred.
  • Proficiency in operating imaging equipment and PACS systems.
  • Strong attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills.

Expected salary

$60 per hour
