Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT)
Location: Northern Ontario
Rate: $60/hr
Contract Length: March 10th-12th & March 20th-23rdOur client is seeking a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) to join their hospital team in Northern Ontario. This role involves performing high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment, ensuring patient safety and imaging accuracy in a fast-paced healthcare environment.Key Responsibilities
- Perform X-ray, CT, MRI, and fluoroscopy procedures as ordered by physicians.
- Prepare and position patients while ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Operate and maintain diagnostic imaging equipment according to protocols.
- Follow radiation safety and ALARA principles to minimize exposure.
- Assess image quality for diagnostic accuracy before submission to radiologists.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with hospital policies.
- Work collaboratively with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare professionals.
- Explain procedures to patients and address any concerns.
- Follow infection control and workplace safety protocols.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Radiation Technology.
- Registered and certified with CAMRT (Canada).
- Licensed to practice in Ontario.
- Experience in hospital, clinic, or diagnostic imaging settings preferred.
- Proficiency in operating imaging equipment and PACS systems.
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills.
Expected salary
$60 per hour
