The position

For this position as a Medical Representative, you have to be based in Erbil and covering Sulaymaniyah for private and public sector, and you will be responsible for maintaining a classified list of customers (Physicians, Hospitals, etc.) that you will visit on a scheduled manner. You will promote the products to the targeted group and make sure that the physician gets full knowledge of the product.

 

You will maintain good relations with the hospitals, physicians, and pharmacies. You will participate in conferences held locally for the benefit of the product. You will facilitate the order process among pharmacies, warehouses, and distributors. You will continuously update product knowledge on promotional material and articles to ensure and maintain the highest standard of sales representation.

 

You will report customer complaints and adverse events according to NN procedure. Living Novo Nordisk values and applying Novo Nordisk way in daily work “we never compromise on Quality and Business Ethics”

 

Qualifications

We expect you to be holding a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy and is registered before the pharmacist of the syndicate in Iraq. You also have 0-4 years of experience in sales within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry. You have excellent command over both written and spoken English and Arabic and Kurdish will be a plus, Excellent communication and negotiation skills, and willingness to travel internally and externally.

 

To be effective in this role, it is mandatory to have:

  • Intermediate computer skills required (Windows, Word, Excel); prior computer experience using sales data/call reporting software ideal.
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to evaluate options and make decisions on your own with minimal supervision.
  • Proven leadership and decision-making ability.
  • Attitude for learning and ability to communicate technical and scientific product and disease management information, as well as a value proposition for the product(s) under the responsibility.
  • Proactivity, accountability, and openness to challenges will be key to delivering on plans.

 

About the Department 

 

Novo Nordisk Iraq has a history of selling and supplying to Iraq since 1968. We have 2 offices in Iraq, the main one is in Baghdad, while the other one in Erbil. and employ 35 plus engaged people, all dedicated to supporting our affiliate to outperform the competition and overcome challenges related to Human Resources, Marketing, Market Access, Medical, Regulatory, Quality, Finance, IT, and Legal.
