Your tasks at a glance
- You act as a direct liaison between Vision Group, TLC, and LASIK MD laser eye centres and the optometric community.
- You build relationships with doctors to influence change and build compliance, working with vendors and the National Director of Business Development to influence surgeons to commercial best practice.
- You drive sales/procedure volume via optometrist office directed patients and develop and reinforce relationships with optometrists and their office staff by providing support with refractive/cataract surgery and Vision Group educational tools.
- You work closely with Vision Group clinical teams & surgeons to support optometric relationships and to closely monitor optometrist office patients (who have been directed to a Vision Group clinic) with regards to their overall care and experience.
- You collaborate with the Marketing team to develop & coordinate educational tools and implement quarterly initiatives and annual sales plans.
- You represent Vision Group at optometric events (trade shows, etc.) and participate in various optometric events such as lunch & learns, trade shows, and webinars.
- You uncover opportunities for educational involvement (continuing education) with the optometric community and organize, host, and measure the effectiveness of Vision Group optometric conferences and webinars.
- You stay abreast of competitive intelligence for your territory and report on monthly and quarterly sales results and measure effectiveness within the territory.
- You act as a brand ambassador for Vision Group and its affiliate brands, compiling and summarizing data for various business functions.
- You identify non-compliance and gaps in internal processes, attending and acting as support for trade shows, open houses, and visiting future sites.
A clear view of your assets
- You have a minimum of three (3) years of related outside sales experience (B2B), preferably in a medical/dental sales role.
- You have a university/college degree in Business or a related field.
- You have a proven track record in sales.
- You are available from Monday to Friday and are flexible to work evenings and weekends, depending on business needs.
- You have strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
- You are self-motivated, entrepreneurial with a strong sense of urgency. You can work with minimal supervision and in a team.
- You have a valid driver’s license and regular access to a vehicle.
- You travel regularly within Alberta (4 days a week, expenses covered by Vision Group).
- You can follow budgets and work with sales targets.
- You adapt to change and work in a fast-paced environment.
- You have a good knowledge and experience with various CRM systems (Dynamics).
