We’re seeking a Monitoring and Rights Project Coordinator to oversee funded projects within our
Monitoring & Rights team in Central and East Africa.

This role involves supporting the Monitoring and Rights Senior Coordinator in maintaining
consistent communication with ForestLink partners and users in the region.

The post holder will also lead on the implementation of the ForestLink strategy throughout
these territories.

Person specifications

The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 3 years’ experience in project management
within charity or international development settings. They should demonstrate a strong
understanding of forest governance and human rights, particularly in West and Central Africa,
and exhibit leadership in strategic project development and fundraising. Proficiency in
both English and French is essential, alongside experience in
financial management and a personal commitment to defending human rights. Additionally, they
should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and the
ability to work under pressure in complex environments, including up to 16 weeks of travel per
year to remote forest areas.
