The Department of Computer Science in Royal Holloway, University of London (member of the Turing University Network) is looking to host talented postdocs through the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships who will work with our researchers on impactful and innovative research projects.Research Areas of interest:The Department is home to a wide variety of research including the following areas that we would like to explore with potential candidates:

• Energy efficient & Scalable deep learning, neuromorphic computing, spiking neural networks, computational neuroscience, in-context learning –
• Autonomous systems, AI planning, multi-agent path planning, explainable AI, applications of AI and robotics in extreme environments –
• Agent-based models of game theoretic scenarios, General game-playing, Strategic reasoning for games, Large-scale agent simulations for game-theoretic experiments –
• Deep learning, robotic vision, image/video/audio processing, generative adversarial network, video summary, audio disease diagnostics, autonomous driving, and biodiversity robotic applications –
• Symbolic AI, heuristic search, Planning, Robotics Task Planning and Robotics Path Planning, AI pedagogy for young adults and children –
• Programming language theory and formal methods, safe concurrent programming, dependently typed programs, computational Logic –
• Software Testing and Automated Debugging of Traditional Software and Intelligent (AI-based) software systems –
• Machine learning, conformal prediction, graph machine learning, uncertainty classification, matrix and tensor factorisation, latent variable models, dynamical systems –
• Empirical Study, AI for Software Engineering (AI4SE), Software Engineering for AI (SE4AI), and Code Review –
• Applications of data science and forecasting to Policymaking, Economics, Political Science, Nonparametric & Probabilistic forecasting, conformal prediction, nonparametric statistics –

• Two-page outline of your research proposal and how you will contribute to the research profile of the school

• Any age and nationality and not have carried out your main activity (work/studies) in the UK for more than 12 months in the last 36 months prior to the MSCA PF call deadline of 11/09/2024
• Hold a PhD at the date of the call deadline
• Have a maximum of eight years full-time research experience, from the date of PhD. Years outside research and documented leave periods will not be considered.

EC Funding DeadlineThe EC MSCA-PF (2023) deadline date is 11th September 2024.The UK remains eligible to apply to and be evaluated as if an Associated Country to all Horizon Europe calls including MSCA-PF (2024).Share this page
