Role OverviewThe Project Manager will lead the execution of multifamily development projects in Kelowna, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, this role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelopment Phase

  • Work with architects, engineers, and consultants to refine project designs.
  • Assess site feasibility and coordinate with surveyors and construction teams.
  • Develop cost estimates, project schedules, and detailed work plans.
  • Manage building permit applications and approvals.

Pre-Construction Phase

  • Secure trade procurement and establish project budgets.
  • Finalize construction budgets with senior leadership.
  • Develop detailed logistics and staging plans with the project team.
  • Prepare comprehensive construction schedules and documentation.

Construction & Post-Construction Phase

  • Oversee project execution, ensuring alignment with design vision, quality standards, and financial targets.
  • Coordinate with development, construction, sales, and finance teams.
  • Provide technical guidance to consultants, site teams, and external partners.
  • Manage change orders, purchase orders, and financial tracking.
  • Identify risks, implement cost-saving solutions, and maintain proactive project oversight.
  • Ensure all occupancy certifications, inspections, and final approvals are completed.
  • Facilitate a smooth client handover, maintaining high standards of completion.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and clear communication channels.

(Additional responsibilities may arise based on project needs.)Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing wood-frame multifamily developments.
  • Strong knowledge of lean construction methods and high-end building practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; experience with Procore is an asset.
  • Expertise in budget management, scheduling, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
