National Consultant (Graphic Designer)

Specific Tasks:

  • Provide a creative concept containing creative ideas, as well as advice on how the design concept best serves the content and type of material being produced.
  • Produce a realistic production deadline that can be followed from concept to final product development.
  • Deliver creative and innovative ideas for print, electronic, web-based and design and layout of reports and other products.
  • Layout and design of reports and other communication materials for printing and electronic distribution.
  • Create different illustrative materials such as animation, presentations and design of packaging.
  • Produce final version ready to be formatted and uploaded for multiple platforms including print, website and social media.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have… 

  • A university degree in Graphic Design, Art Design, Visual Designs or related disciplines.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in Graphic Design.
  • A certificate in design and two additional years of experience may be accepted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
  • Strong graphic design skills particularly in layout, presentations, branding and visualization of systems and complex information and structures
  • Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite products, such as InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Knowledge of the institutions of the UN system; ability to work in an international environment.
  • Excellent command and knowledge of PowerPoint and other Office platforms and Visual design sensibility that is clean, simple and sharp.
  • Proven ability to deliver under tight deadlines and with flexible attitude and ability to work independently.
  • Proven ability to work as part of a multicultural team and to exercise good judgment under pressure.
  • Relevant work experience with UN agencies and/or INGOs. Familiarity with UNICEF branding is an asset.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
