National Energy Efficiency And Low Carbon Building Consultant

The consultant will work closely with GGGI Thailand and consortium partners, primarily onsite at the DCCE Officealso with hybrid arrangements possible. Monthly meetings will ensure alignment, as the consultant provides strategic guidance towards project implementation in energy efficiency. Expertise in energy efficiency relevant to Thailand is crucial, alongside contributions to standardized tools development, stakeholder capacity building, and knowledge sharing. This unique opportunity requires proven experience in energy efficiency adaptation and mitigation, coupled with a strong understanding of Thailand’s energy landscape and excellent communication skills.

Deliverables And Payment Schedule:

  • Deliverables will be in accordance with the monthly progress report during the contract period (24 months). The monthly payment schedule subject to acceptance of deliverables by the Country Representative of GGGI Thailand.
  • The Consultant shall submit the monthly progress reports which should reflect detailing activities undertaken, key achievements and challenges faced.
  • All relevant technical papers, reports, and other documents prepared from the start to the end of the assignment shall be attached to the monthly progress report.
  • The Consultant shall submit the report in electronic versions readable by a Microsoft Office application.
  • All outputs must be in English.
  • Monthly progress report must be approved by the Country Representative of GGGI Thailand. The Consultant shall consider the comments and necessary revisions proposed. Within 14 days from the receipt of the comments or modification proposal from the GGGI, the Consultant shall prepare and submit the final versions of the report.

Expertise Required:

  • The national consultant is expected to possess qualification, key professionals, competences, and skills:

Qualifications:

  • Educational background in engineering, economics, business, environmental science, or a related field.
  • Experience working on similar projects in Thailand and preferable also on other ASEAN countries.
  • Fluency in English and Thai language.
  • Thai nationality only

Key Professionals:

  • Extensive experience and expertise in energy efficiency, preferable in the building sector and knowledge of relevant technologies, policies, and best practices in the Thai context.
  • Specialized knowledge in specific areas related to the project, such as energy modeling, carbon foot printing, or sustainable cooling technologies.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in relevant software tools for energy modeling, data analysis, and project management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • Experience working in a cross-cultural environment (a plus).
