Background:
The OSCE Mission to Skopje supports national law enforcement agencies (LEAs) in their efforts to adapt to emerging security threats to security and the impact on the welfare and safety of the citizens of North Macedonia.
As part of the Public Safety and Community Outreach Department (PSCOD) and the Police Development Unit (PDU) Mid-term Programmatic Plan 2022-2024, the PSCOD aims to strengthen the capacities of the Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) and the National Committee for CVE and CT to effectively prevent and investigate transnational threats through tailored interventions including continuous support in the implementation of the National Strategy for CVE (2023 – 2027).
The Mission is looking to update its Roster of potential candidates to provide temporary expert/consultancy assistance for the above needs in the area of preventing violent extremism and radicalization that leads to terrorism (VERLT).
Applicants’ successful placement on the Consultancy Roster is subject to their meeting the minimum qualification and skill level and does not express or imply any guarantee of engagement with the OSCE Mission to Skopje.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
The consultant will be responsible for providing knowledge and expertise to the Mission, on developing local public policies for countering violent extremism and providing recommendations and guidance for institutional adjustments in the state institutions. Remuneration will be based on the selected consultant’s/expert’s qualifications, experience, the tasks and deliverables for this position and in accordance with the OSCE established rates.
