National Intern for Website development and management, Tripoli, Libya, Duration: 6 Months (Open for Libya Nationals only)

How can you make a difference? 

UNICEF Libya country office, specifically the Communications and Advocacy section, is working to prepare and launch UNICEF Libya website in both Arabic and English to better serve our stakeholders and increase our outreach.

The national intern will assist in the development and maintenance of the UNICEF Libya website, ensuring it is up-to-date and accessible in both Arabic and English. The objective is to enhance our digital presence and provide reliable information about our activities and programs. In addition to these tasks, ad hoc tasks might be requested to support the general work of the Communication and Advocacy Section. This may include other communication related duties.

Main tasks:

• Assist in content management and updates for the bilingual website.
• Perform data entry tasks in both Arabic and English.
• Support the creation of digital content under the guidance of the Communications and Advocacy Officer.
• Help ensure website content is optimized for search engines and user engagement.
• Provide regular reports on website performance and improvement suggestions.
• Any other communication tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

 

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have… 

  • Current enrolment in or recent graduation from a degree in Communications, Information Technology, or other related field.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS and content management systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively under supervision and in a team setting.
  • Proficiency in English and Arabic is required.

UNICEF appointments are subject to medical clearance. Issuance of a visa by the host country of the duty station, which will be facilitated by UNICEF, is required for IP positions. Government employees that are considered for employment with UNICEF are normally required to resign from their government before taking up an assignment with UNICEF. UNICEF reserves the right to withdraw an offer of appointment, without compensation, if a visa or medical clearance is not obtained, or necessary inoculation requirements are not met, within a reasonable period for any reason.
