Nature Recovery Advice Manager

Help Shape a Wilder Future for Nottinghamshire

We’re looking for an experienced and inspiring Nature Recovery Advice Manager to lead a team of expert advisors working to drive nature’s recovery across Nottinghamshire.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated leader with a strong ecological background and a passion for partnership working. You’ll play a pivotal role in influencing land management, planning and development, habitat restoration and species recovery, helping to deliver ambitious outcomes for wildlife while supporting farmers, landowners, businesses, communities and partner organisations to take action for nature.

As a member of our Operational Leadership Team, you’ll contribute to the wider leadership of the organisation, helping to shape our strategic direction while leading and developing a high-performing team.

About the Role

You will lead the Nature Recovery Advisor team and oversee the delivery of expert ecological advice across a range of projects and stakeholder groups.

You will be responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of services, managing resources and budgets, identifying opportunities for impact and growth, and building strong relationships that help secure positive outcomes for wildlife and people.

Working closely with internal teams, external partners and senior leaders, you’ll help influence major development proposals, land management decisions and strategic plans to ensure nature recovery is embedded at every level.

About You

We’re looking for someone who combines strong leadership skills with technical ecological expertise and a genuine passion for nature’s recovery.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • A Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, Conservation or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong understanding of conservation planning policy, development processes and environmental legislation.
  • Experience managing complex projects, partnerships and stakeholder relationships, including delivering habitat restoration, nature-based solutions and/or species recovery projects.
  • At least two years’ management experience, with a proven ability to lead, motivate and develop teams.
  • Experience managing budgets and interpreting financial information.

Join us

If you’re an experienced people manager with ecological expertise and the drive to inspire action for nature’s recovery, we’d love to hear from you.

This post is subject to a Basic DBS Check. You will be required to travel so a driving licence is essential. We are planning to hold interviews on the 17th August 2026.
