Role & Responsibilities

Our vision is of a London alive with nature, where everyone can experience and enjoy wildlife.
Right now, our city is facing a climate and ecological emergency. Here, as in communities
across the globe, there’s growing disruption to the natural world. We need to recover nature –
at scale and at pace and the Mayor of London shares our vision and our sense of urgency. That’s
why we are so excited to be working in partnership with the Greater London Authority, as we
deliver on two nature recovery programmes.

This role is key to delivering those programmes, providing administrative and operational
support including:

  • organising and minuting quarterly meetings for the London Rewilding Action Group
  • supporting coordination of site visits, training and consultation with stakeholders and
    partners
  • conducting basic financial tasks such as logging expenses and raising purchase orders
  • contributing to reports

There will also be the opportunity to support the team with gathering evidence to support urban
rewilding best-practice and undertaking desk-based assessments of potential rewilding sites, as
well as assisting with stakeholder mapping.

Our ideal Nature Recovery Programmes Assistant:

We are looking for someone with:

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills and a keen eye for detail
  • Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Great people skills, and the ability to work confidently both in-person and remotely
through online platforms (e.g. Microsoft Teams)
  • Proficiency in MS Office, in particular Outlook, Excel and Word

The successful candidate will be motivated by the opportunity to demonstrate that nature’s
recovery in London is possible and is driven to influence and communicate this to a wide range
of stakeholders.

(Please see job description for full person specification)

Closing Date: Sunday 11th August at 5pm

Interviews: Are scheduled to take place on 16th August and
reasonable adjustments will be offered to all candidates including the choice to meet online or
in-person.

Does this sound like you? We’d love to hear from you!

Our vision is a London alive with nature, where everyone can experience and enjoy wildlife.
