Based in a state-of-the-art £40m development on the University of Leeds campus, Nexus is a thriving community for innovators and entrepreneurs. Operating at the heart of the Leeds Innovation Ecosystem, we bring together the brightest minds from business, technology, and academia. We provide access to world-class research and innovation expertise and consultancy services from the University of Leeds and are a central player in the wider city region, with established links into investors, corporates, professional service firms and local government.
Since launch in 2019, our community has grown quickly, and we now have over 130 high-growth member businesses benefitting from our expertise, facilities and talent. We have ambitious plans to make Leeds a global centre for fast growing start-ups and our community is scaling fast, creating jobs and achieving national and international recognition. To deliver this exciting agenda, we are seeking to appoint a Director. Experience of building an extensive network of sustainable and mutually beneficial partnerships will be critical, as will a mind-set of innovation and entrepreneurship, underpinned by strong commercial and operational acumen required to run a business. With a high degree of integrity and excellent judgement, you will also have a genuine commitment to the mission and ethos of Nexus and the wider University.
