Cambridge BHF Centre of Cardiovascular Research Excellence Non-Clinical Intermediate-Level FellowshipsThe University of Cambridge has identified cardiovascular disease as a major research priority, and this has been endorsed by the recent award of a British Heart Foundation Research Excellence Award of £5 million (2024-2019).The Cambridge BHF Centre of Research Excellence brings together a wide range of cardiovascular research groups across the University of Cambridge and affiliated institutions. More information about the Centre’s aims and main research themes can be found here: .We are now inviting applications for non-clinical intermediate-level transition fellowships. These fellowships are available for outstanding postdoctoral researchers in basic biomedical science or disciplines outside traditional biological science working at the interfaces of disciplines ¿ particularly where adoption of techniques outside cardiovascular science can accelerate basic and translational research.The award will include full salary and £22K per year towards other costs. Individuals will be supported to apply for additional funding and become competitive for external Senior Research Fellowships by the end of their fellowship. Technical support may also be available if justified in the application.Successful applicants will have an outstanding record of research and its communication in a relevant subject. The post holders will need to be able to work independently as well as in active collaboration with multi-disciplinary partners.Fixed-term: The funds for these fellowships will be available for up to two years from the commencement of the post.Informal enquiries about these posts can be directed to the Centre Manager, Dr Jane Sugars ( ).To apply online, please upload a covering letter, CV, list of publications, as well as current and future research plans (one side of A4 only).
