The Opportunity:Company, Department: Control Center OperationsLocation: Ragged LakeClosing Date: August 20, 2024We are currently looking for an Open Access Transmission Tariff Analyst to join our Energy Control Compliance team in a permanent position. Reporting to the Senior Compliance Engineer, you will be responsible for administering the Nova Scotia Open Access Transmission Tariff (OATT) and its associated processes and procedures, including the Market Rules. Key elements of this role include::Key elements of this role include:

  • Manage requirements and administrative responsibilities related to the Wholesale Market Advisory Committee and Market Participants applications including the back-up top-up (BUTU) and Renewable to Retail (RtR).
  • Ensure market information is posted in a timely fashion to the Open Access Same-time information System (OASIS) through the maintenance of the information on the OASIS web site as required by the OATT Standards of Conduct (SoC)Process applications from Market Participants for OATT Transmission Service and related tariffs and manage all transmission information requests (TIR) and transmission service requests (TSR).
  • Support billing for marketing participants.
  • Assist in the creation and manage training for employees on their responsibilities under the OATT SoC to assure compliance.
  • You will be responsible for your personal safety and that of your co-workers by observing all Occupational Health and Safety Rules and Regulations.

  • Completion of a post-secondary degree with a focus in business analytics plus 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of power system operations, market management systems, utility regulatory requirements, OATT, and Standards of Conduct is considered an asset.
  • You possess strong oral and written communication skills, a strong customer service ethic, good interpersonal skills, and can function effectively in a team environment.
  • You are a self-starter with proven organizational and analytical skills.
  • You possess strong computer skills (including but not limited to proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint) and attention to detail.
  • You must demonstrate your commitment to personal development.
  • You must be available to support emergency power restoration work.
