We are an organization where individuals’ contributions are valued and there are many opportunities for personal growth and development.Position SummaryThe Occupational Therapist is responsible for the management of inpatients and outpatients according to the occupational therapist’s designated rotation.Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent with evidence of ongoing professional development required.
- Current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario required.
- Eligible for membership with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists and the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapy required.
- 1-3 years experience working with patients of various ages with neurological and orthopaedic diagnosis in the acute and rehabilitation phases of assessment and treatment an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to function collaboratively and effectively within an interdisciplinary team and with the community partners.
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills, sound clinical judgment, flexibility and initiative.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and other professionals.
- Demonstrated superior organizational and time management skills.
- Demonstrated awareness of community supports and services for identified populations would be an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to work harmoniously in a demanding environment demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills, an excellent attendance records.
