The OECD Environment Directorate (ENV), in line with the strategic objectives of the Secretary‑General, provides relevant and timely information, analysis and advice to support governments in identifying and implementing the environmental policies needed to support a cleaner, more resource-efficient, low-carbon, resilient and green growth path. The Directorate currently comprises approximately 200+ staff members working across a broad range of issues such as: green growth, climate change, biodiversity, water, eco-innovation, resource productivity and waste, environmental policy tools and evaluation, safety of chemicals, biotechnology and nanomaterials, green finance and linkages between environment and tax, agriculture, energy, transport, development assistance, trade and investment policies. The Finance, Investment and Global Relations Division of the Environment Directorate (ENV/FIG) is looking for Junior Policy Analyst to support the implementation of multi-year programmes on green finance and investment in the region of Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia, including “Promoting Green Deal Readiness: Support to Strengthening Climate Resilience of the Agriculture Sector (PROGRESS)” and “EU4ClimateResilience” that cover the EU Eastern Partner (EaP) countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.
The main areas of analysis and capacity building support will be: the management of public environmental/climate-related expenditure programmes and evaluation of their effectiveness and efficiency, mobilisation of private finance for environment and climate related investment, including in agriculture.
The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the relevant ENV/FIG Project Managers.
