Office Manager

An exciting opportunity to be at the heart of a growing woodland creation charity.

Role Summary

We are seeking a proactive and organised Office Manager to join our small but passionate team and oversee the charity’s day-to-day operations. This is a varied and hands-on role central to ensuring the smooth running of our projects, administrative systems, financial processes and reporting.

What we offer you

  • Flexible working and hours that work with your life
  • 24 days annual leave (incl. Public Holidays) pro rata
  • Pension scheme
  • Structured and self-guided learning, as well as learning ‘on the job’
  • A friendly, inclusive and fun team environment

You’ll be a great fit if you:

  • Are highly organised with experience in office management or administration
  • Are confident with financial processes, basic bookkeeping and budgets
  • Have strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Have excellent software management and can use tools like Airtable, Mailchimp and shared drives with ease
  • Have space and reliable IT to work from home

It would be great if you also have:

  • An interest in environmental conservation or community engagement
  • Knowledge of rural communities, agriculture or woodland creation
  • Some Welsh language ability (Level 1 or above)

This is a hybrid role – working in our Abergavenny office at least two days per week, with the rest of the time working remotely. We welcome applications from people from all groups and communities. The post is advertised as a 0.6-0.8 FTE position, however there is scope to discuss hours and remuneration.

This role would suit someone moving into the environment or charity sector, especially if you’re eager to make a real difference in a hands‑on, supportive setting.

About us

Stump Up For Trees is a dynamic, community-based woodland creation and landscape restoration charity in south-east Wales. Our vision is to engage our community of landowners, volunteers and local businesses in improving the treescape and enhancing biodiversity across our region. We raise funds in innovative ways in order to give grants to landowners to plant trees on land that is unproductive in agricultural terms, and poor in biodiversity.
