Our client, a prestigious law firm, is seeking an experienced Office/HR Manager. This is an exciting role for an Office/HR Manager looking to align with an employee-centric firm that prides itself in giving back to the community. The role will be a true generalist that will oversee all aspects of Office Management and Human Resources and will be adept at compliance, recruitment, employee engagement/wellbeing, payroll, conflict resolution, performance management, investigations and employee relations. Preferably, the ideal candidate will have experience within a law firm setting. The ideal candidate will wear many hats including:

  • Serves as a business partner to the partners and teams
  • Manages all aspects of the employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, benefits, engagement, compliance, volunteer opportunities, fiscal responsibility, legal technology systems, wellness and matters of performance
  • Responsible for payroll processing in collaboration with the Controller
  • Works with the Training and Development Manager to ensure all team members are adequately trained and receive additional training if needed
  • Manages employee relations matters and provides conflict resolution
  • Provides coaching, workforce planning and development to the team

Required qualifications:

  • Experience managing Human Resources function in a law firm setting
  • Experience delegating and directing others preferred
  • Exceptional knowledge of compliance and legal matters
  • Legal/Law Firm industry knowledge preferred
  • CLM, PHR, SHRM-CP or other similar Human Resources certification
