About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Open Source Insider Risk Investigator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting in-depth research focused on insider risk, writing comprehensive analytic reports, and performing open source investigations. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, understanding of threats from foreign intelligence services, exceptional writing skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
In this role, you will cover these key areas:
Open Source Investigations:
Utilize open source intelligence (OSINT) techniques to gather and analyze information from publicly available sources.
Monitor social media, news outlets, public records, and other open sources for relevant intelligence related to insider risk and foreign government involvement in IP theft.
Synthesize open source data with other intelligence sources to develop comprehensive insights.
Analytic Report Writing:
Produce high-quality analytic reports, assessments, and briefings for senior management and other stakeholders.
Summarize complex information and present findings clearly and concisely.
Ensure all reports are well-researched, accurate, and adhere to organizational standards.
Open Source Investigations:
Utilize open source intelligence (OSINT) techniques to gather and analyze information from publicly available sources.
Monitor social media, news outlets, public records, and other open sources for relevant intelligence related to insider risk and foreign government involvement in IP theft.
Synthesize open source data with other intelligence sources to develop comprehensive insights.
Due Diligence Checks:
Conduct thorough due diligence checks on individuals, organizations, and entities.
Assess the credibility and reliability of sources and information.
Compile detailed reports on findings, highlighting potential risks and concerns.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with other intelligence analysts, security professionals, and law enforcement agencies.
Share intelligence findings and collaborate on joint investigations.
Provide expert advice and recommendations to enhance counterintelligence capabilities.
You might thrive in this role if you have:
Bachelor’s degree in Intelligence Studies, Criminal Justice, International Relations, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
3+ years of experience in insider risk, open source investigations, counterintelligence, or a related field.
Proficiency in open source intelligence (OSINT) tools and techniques.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex issues to non-technical stakeholders.
Familiarity with counterintelligence methodologies and best practices.
