JOB DESCRIPTION
The Operations Business Partner will be an integral member of Business Operations team of EIT Food and will be reporting to the Head of Business Support. They will be the bridge between the Business Operations team (Grants & Calls) and the rest of the Business Areas at EIT Food: Education, Business Creation, Innovation, Public Engagement, RIS and Cross KIC, Partnership, Communications, CLCs, etc.
The selected candidate will be the Single Point of Contact for a number of those areas and as such, will make sure that the internal stakeholders understand and implement the Business Operations processes while at the same time understanding the specificities of those areas and bringing those needs to the Business Operations team.
The goal is twofold: ensure the processes are timely implemented with a high level of quality and bring the needs of the areas into the design of those processes.
The Business Operations Partner will be the single point of contact of the areas during the implementations of the Grant Cycle (Business Plan, Reporting, Amendments to the Business Plan) and other Business Operations processes.
They will have to work very closely with the teams of the Areas assigned as well as with the rest of the Business Operations colleagues. Working together with the rest of the team, they will be responsible for providing all the training and training materials to the areas as well as answering all the doubts they might have during the implementation of the processes.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant field with proven track record in EU funding;
- More than 5 years of relevant working experience;
- Excellent communication capabilities;
- Capable of translating complex processes and concepts into user-friendly guidance and training materials;
- Logical thinker, motivated to drive continuous improvement;
- Can-do attitude, driven to learn and realise impact, a self-starter;
- Experience in process implementation, with respect for timelines and deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English (the working language is English);
- Patient, empathic and flexible to support the internal teams and at the same time firm and selfconfident to ensure that processes are timely implemented;
- Very good presentation skills (writing visual quality materials and presenting to audiences);
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools;
- Flexible to work both independently and in small (multi-national) teams;
- Very good communication skills, and confident to communicate with international stakeholders;
- Preferably with knowledge of the EU grant cycle, the EU’s Horizon Europe Programme;
- Experience in working with EIT grants management environment will be considered an asset.

CONTRACT TYPE
Full-time permanent position.
LOCATION & TRAVEL FREQUENCY
EIT Food HQ, Leuven (Belgium) or any of the other locations in the EU where EIT Food has teams (UK, Spain, Poland, Germany), with the possibility to work remotely.
Occasional travel within Europe is required being more frequent for candidates hired outside HQ location.
