Job Description:

The Operations Control Center Manager position owns the demand requirements, labor planning, GSE planning, scheduling, and allocation for a station. This manager ensures the station has proper resources to meet operational objectives and customer expectations while reducing business costs and increasing efficiency. The position will support other regional airport operations as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and implement staffing plans and schedules through company optimized software, while working with station leadership.
  • Obtain information on occurrences that could impact demand like call outs, job changes and operational delays.
  • Ensure OCC agents are using system tools and analytics to optimize resource needs to same day staffing and flight changes.
  • Ensure key labor metrics are met (Cost of Labor %, average hours per flight, non-billable overtime, etc.)
  • Transition approved labor plan into a working employee schedule, ensuring KPIs are met.
  • Prepare and analyze routine labor reports utilizing company systems such as Power BI.
  • Present and communicate findings and work with the GM, Business Unit Leader, Customers, or other stakeholders to identify and implement strategies that will address tactical and strategic goals.
  • Weekly analysis of Actual financials and operations stats compared to Forecast and Budget.
  • Accountable for daily operations.
  • Maintain and improve customer and company safety and quality standards.
  • Maintain good relations with customers and airport authorities.
  • Manage and control all staff assignments.
  • Manage and maintain schedules and proper staffing.
  • Plans and executes staffing needs based on flight activity.
  • Hold daily briefings with all levels of management.
  • Provide support to front line management.
  • Coach and train all employees to effectively improve operations.
  • Ensure workforce adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned

The Operations Control Manager should possess the following qualifications, skills, and attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline preferred and minimum 3 years’ experience in airport operations/schedule roles required.
  • Expert knowledge of Excel (VLOOKUP’s, pivot tables) and working with large datasets. Analytical tools, Microsoft Power BI etc.
  • Expert knowledge in demand planning, scheduling tools or ERP platforms
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Service orientation and collaborative attitude.
