You oversee the daily operation and routine maintenance of the physical building systems and tenant requests. You are driven by customer service and take pride in the quality of work and service delivered by your team. You work well with individuals at all levels, including clients, external vendors, and corporate teams (HR, IT, Leasing, etc.), and you work collaboratively with the general manager and other on-site management team members. You have a strong track record in leading, managing and successfully carrying out large capital projects and implementing preventive maintenance plans for large commercial assets. You meet and exceed business objectives, ensuring consistent achievement of all KPIs and operational finances. You are forward-thinking and innovative. This is an opportunity to leverage your expertise to help us lead our industry into the future.In this roleProvide guidance and training to the building operations team.Able to effectively multitask and to recognize and address important and time-sensitive tasks.Ability to review operations to implement energy efficiency programs and to operate the building in accordance with sustainability programs.An understanding of expense controls and the ability to operate within established budgets.What you’ll bringMinimum of 3-5 years progressive building operations experience and 5+ years of progressive leadership experience, including managing client and tenant relationships (Class A)A track record of preparing, writing and presenting business cases for capital projects from budgeting to completion.Demonstrated Problem-solving (teams, Clients, Vendors, Tenants)Strategic thinking, innovative sourcing and implementing cost-effective savingsAcquainted with all aspects of emergency management and supporting emergency response teamsExperienced with writing and managing the tendering process for large-scale contracts (RFQ/RFP) and client business casesProven decisive and effective decision-making is an asset.Experience working with other departments is an asset (construction, accounting, leasing)Experience in managing and implementing ESG projects is preferredA track record of leading and managing building operation departmentsMust be a proven team leader.
