Are you a leader that is community minded, has strong client bonds and likes to work in a fun and supportive team environment, while maintaining a healthy work-life balance?SIEL Human Solutions on behalf of our client is looking to hire a Full Time Operations Manager for our growing mixed animal rural practice in Saskatchewan.In this new role, the Operations Manager with guidance from the DVM will perform a variety of administrative duties related to the operations of the veterinary hospital and will provide leadership and development for a multi-faceted team, while ensuring that the hospitals patients and pet owners receive excellent veterinarian care.WHAT YOULL BRING:
- Post secondary education in business administration or equivalent.
- 5 years experience in a veterinary hospital setting in a similar role.
- Strong computer skills: MS Office
- Experience in budgeting and financial management.
- Knowledge of human resources practices and regulations
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent customer service excellence
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, staff, pet parents and the public.
WHAT YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:
- Supervise and manage the daily operations of the animal hospital.
- Responsible for marketing and client communication.
- Responsible for inventory. Monitor and maintain hospital supplies.
- Oversee and coordinate patient care activities with assistance from the DVM, RVT, and Vet Assistant, ensuring quality patient care.
- In conjunction with the DVM, ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiencies.
- Manage clinic staff, including hiring, training, discipling, performance evaluations and terminating of staff, under the approval of the DVM.
- Handle patient complaints and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Human Resource Management: fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment. Scheduling staff, document control, filing, various reporting, and coordinating office services (equipment/supplies/forms/procedures)
- Team Leadership and Guidance: fostering people relationships, providing coaching opportunities, towards the goal of quality patient care and excellent client service.
- Operational Management: contribute objectives and efficiencies for profitable hospital operations, streamlining processes, and optimizing workflow.
- Financial management; in collaboration with the DVM
- Positively represent the company in the professional community and to the public.
