Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations – purchasing of materials, manufacturing, sales, and distribution
- Ensure activities remain on time and within the defined budget
- Monitor activities and troubleshoot as necessary
- Quality assurance – manufacturing and customers
- Create budget and financial reports
- Inventory management
- Determine and measure key metrics for tasks to monitor revenues, productivity, efficiency and customer service
- Create and implement strategies to reduce costs, improve processes and eliminate defects
- Develop strategies to ensure growth and scalability while keeping costs low
- Analyze data and metrics to maximize productivity
- Revise & develop standard operating procedures and policies
- Ensure activities are compliant with legal and safety guidelines
- Improve or upgrade tools, machinery and systems for efficiency and growth
- Build and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors
- Develop policies and procedures for the management of employees
- Provide training for all employees in operations
- Work with leadership to set the organization’s strategic goals, performance goals and long-term operations plans
- Break strategic goals down to specific operational objectives
- Determine needs and help to secure resources to achieve objectives including applying for grants or other forms of funding
- Research and determine the implementation feasibility of new areas for growth
Qualifications:
- Experience in management, operations and leadership
- Understanding of general finance and budgeting, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash-flow management
- Experience in distribution, budget planning, merchandise, inventory control, cost control, and revenue generation
- Ability to build consensus and relationships amongst team members, strategic partners, clients and stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills
- Enthusiastic attitude that’s paired with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn
