Role Purpose:

The Partnership and project volunteer is responsible for assisting the Partnership/project Manager in the day-to-day coordination, monitoring, and administration of the organization’s partnership activities. This role plays a crucial supporting function in implementing partnership processes, conducting research and analysis, data collection, and reporting to ensure the effective management of the organization’s partnerships. S/he also helps with building capacity activities for staff and partner, fulfilling government requirements, organizing partnership-related meetings and events, and providing general administrative support as needed.

The position will be based in Amman and will travel to different locations across Jordan based on the needs.

Accountabilities

The Partnership and project volunteer will be responsible for:

  1. Assist the Partnership and/or Project Manager in coordinating and monitoring partnership/ Project activities on a daily basis.
  2. Support the implementation of partnership processes, such as conducting due diligence, identifying risks, and drafting partnership agreements.
  3. Assist in researching and analyzing partnership approaches to align with organizational objectives.
  4. Support in updating partners and civil society and outline with any significant changes in context and send to line manager for approval.
  5. Support in collecting quantitative and qualitative data in accordance with the monitoring and evaluation plan and provide updates and reports to the manager with the relevant to partnership.
  6. Support the review of partnership project plans, track timelines, and provide progress updates to the Partnership Manager.
  7. Help apply basic partnership management tools and frameworks.
  8. Provide administrative support for partnership-related documentation and amendments.
  9. Coordinate partnership/project-related meetings and events, including scheduling, logistics, and participant engagement
  10. Assist in the preparation of training and resource development to build the capacity of staff and partners on effective partnering.
  11. Support the Partnership/project Manager in fulfilling government requirements and building relationships with current and potential partners.
  12. Attend and document partner review meetings.
  13. Upload and organize photos and other communication and visibility materials related to the project to google drive and the Microsoft team.
  14. Perform other partnership support duties as assigned by the Partnership/project Manager.

  • Ensures that Plan International’s global policies for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded in accordance with the principles and requirements of the policy including relevant Implementation Standards and Guidelines as applicable to their area of responsibility. Technical expertise, skills and knowledge

Essential

  • Bachelor degree in social science, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, training and facilitation skills,
  • Basic understanding of project management and a willingness to learn more
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to assist with data collection and reporting
  • Familiarity with common productivity and collaboration tools
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Interest in learning partnership management frameworks and tools
  • Eagerness to take on a variety of support tasks under supervision
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Ability to communicate and maintain appropriate and productive relations with a range of actors, including children, parents, local and national authorities.
  • Flexible work attitude and ability to work independently within a small team.
  • Good verbal and written language skills in English and Arabic
  • Awareness of child protection issues
  • Sensitivity to gender and child protection.
  • Acts with high degree of integrity and professionalism
  • Ability to deal with complex situations and issues proactively and persistently

ROLE PROFILE

Contract Duration: 3 months

Reports to: Partnership and Government Liaison manager

Location: Amman office with frequent travel to projects locations
