- Develop a strategy to establish partnerships with both for-profit and non-profit organizations to build sustainable and scalable service delivery health models.
- Seek and realize opportunities to engage and partner with the private sector, and for proposed activities to complement and build on private sector activities.
- Ensure that partners are delivering activities according to the contractual requirements with USAID and government, and all activities and deliverables are completed within the agreed timescale and budget, reports are submitted as per agreed schedules and other requirements are fulfilled.
- Design and regularly update detailed annual work plans and ensure these are used by the team to monitor progress towards completion and achievement of program objectives.
- Manage and motivate direct reports to achieve their work plan objectives, and to contribute to the achievement of the overall program goals.
- Foster and maintain strong working relationships with government ministries, implementing partners, the private sector, academic institutions, and international and local NGO.
- Work with program staff to identify the technical support needs of the program and ensure this support is provided to staff and all partners; and
- Attend and actively participate in periodic program meetings and ensure a summary of progress and challenges are prepared and presented with follow-up actions as required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential
- University degree in International Development, Public Health, or other relevant field required. Graduate degree preferred.
- 6-8 years in partnership management, particularly in donor-funded health and nutrition projects.
- Proven experience in fostering and managing partnerships with the private sector, academia, and community-based organizations.
- Experience implementing development programming in Guatemala and/or Latin America.
- Experience with USAID cooperative agreements is preferred.
- Experience recruiting, developing, and managing staff and teams.
- Demonstrated skills building and maintaining relationships with host governments, donors, other donor-funded projects and stakeholders, local organizations, and partners.
- Fluency in Spanish and English required.
- Experience with participatory community-led approaches to project design and implementation.
- Experience with adaptive management and learning and reflection-based programming approaches.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; excellent demonstrated inter-cultural, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
