The Professional Practice and Rehabilitation teams support care for acute inpatients as well as ambulatory services within our outpatient clinics for Physiotherapy, Hand Therapy and the Outpatient Rehabilitation Day Program for stroke rehabilitation. Our interprofessional teams are comprised of Regulated Healthcare Professionals including Nursing, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Language Pathology, Social Work, well as unregulated Rehabilitation Assistants and clerical staff. Each member of the team has a specific role to play to ensure the seamless integration of care. Together the team provide exceptional, patient-centered care.We are currently seeking a regular full time Patient Service Clerk to support our Adult Ambulatory Clinics.The successful candidate will support ambulatory clinic needs across our (3) outpatient clinics of Physiotherapy, Hand therapy and Outpatient Stroke Rehabilitation.The successful candidate will be able to transition seamlessly between different program processes and clinic tasks to support duties including but not limited to patient bookings and follow up appointments, invoicing and account reconciliation, customer service supports, etc.As a qualified candidate you will have the following job requirements:
- 2-3 years clerical experience in an outpatient/clinic setting or equivalent preferred
- Experience working in Interprofessional settings preferred
- Experience with process development, and quality improvement initiatives preferred
- Medical Office Administration Certificate/Diploma or Equivalent Program – essential
- Office administration experience in a hospital environment or equivalent competencies
- Computer literacy – Microsoft Office and spreadsheet database management – essential
- Current experience with Meditech Expanse, including registration in Community Wide scheduling, Meditech AMB modules, EMR, order entry and appointment scheduling an asset
- Current experience in the processing of referrals and orders is an asset

Unless otherwise stated applicants must have a minimum educational requirement of Grade 12 or equivalent and must demonstrate proven workplace excellence through commitment to strong job performance and attendance.
