Payroll Supervisor in Brentwood, Tennessee

Description We are on the search for a Payroll Supervisor based in Brentwood, Tennessee, United States. This role entails analyzing payroll tax data, administering weekly payroll tax activities, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The successful candidate will also be tasked with interacting with various departments and managing relationships with external tax vendors.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and process multi-state and multi-jurisdiction payroll tax data

• Administer weekly payroll tax activities for assigned legal entities

• Ensure the accurate and timely distribution of tax remittances as per tax jurisdiction guidelines

• Respond to tax notices and coordinate with the accounting department for prompt payments

• Audit payroll for tax functions and accuracy on a weekly basis

• Prepare and process federal, multi-state, and multi-jurisdiction withholding tax payments

• Handle W2 corrections and reissues as needed

• Interact seamlessly with payroll, finance, and accounting departments

• Manage relationships with external tax vendors while demonstrating the ability to handle all in-house tax duties

• Utilize Ceridian 3rd party tax vendor for processing

• Design, document, and review payroll tax processing procedures

• Work with stakeholders to facilitate ongoing documentation development, evaluation, and maintenance

• Develop and implement a strategy for internalizing all tax responsibilities, including filing, payments, correspondence, reporting, and timely W2s

• Use project management concepts to achieve organizational goals

• Assist with special projects as needed. Requirements

• Familiarity with Payroll Tax Returns.

• Proficiency in managing Multi-state Payroll.
