Peatland Restoration Assistant

Trainee position
Fixed term employment until 31st of March 2025
Salary depending on experience + overtime and living away allowance

Are you looking to gain a career in peatland restoration?

Quantock and Exmoor Ltd are the largest peatland restoration company in the South West of
England and carry out peatland restoration and natural flood management for the South West
Peatland Partnership and other organisations all across the South West of England.

We have an
excellent opportunity for someone to come and join our team for this coming restoration season.

We are looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic individual to join our team who is keen to
work with their hands and learn new skills.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to get into peatland restoration,
conservation and countryside sector and learn on the job as well as be part of landscape scale
restoration of our upland blanket bogs and valley mires.

You will be required to physically work outside in all weathers on a range of sites across the
South West.

Depending on location there may be a requirement to stay away, living away allowance is
provided, and costs covered. There may be some occasional weekend working.

Full training will be provided.

Must have their own transport to get to and from site each day.
