Cambridge Memorial Hospital (CMH) is seeking a skilled Pediatrician (Locum & Permanent) to join our team.We are looking for an individual to provide inpatient Pediatric care with optional community care. The successful candidate will participate in the Pediatrics on-call schedule as well as the rounding schedule. Demonstration of continuous quality improvement and of our values; caring, collaboration, innovation, respect and accountability is necessary. The successful candidate will hold FRCPC certification, or equivalent, and be eligible for an independent practice certificate with CPSO. Remuneration is fee-for-service, based on the physician’s OHIP billings. An additional stipend is available through the Hospital on Call Coverage (HOCC) for participation in call shifts.Our 190-bed community hospital is equipped with modern diagnostic laboratory and imaging support services. CMH is classified as a Level 2C hospital, specializing in the care of mothers and babies from 34 weeks gestational age and above, handling between 1400-1600 deliveries annually. There are 6 private labour and delivery suites. Our Pediatricians provide care to a 6 bed Pediatric Unit and an 8 bed Level 2a nursery. Pediatricians On Call additionally attend high risk deliveries and provide consultations in the Emergency Department.As an affiliated teaching site with the Waterloo Campus of the Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine, McMaster University, there are opportunities to engage with medical learners at various levels, including medical students and residents.Located in southwestern Ontario, Cambridge offers a vibrant and growing community.
