People Advisor – Scotland
£35,841 per annum (pro rata for part time hours)

About the role
Your opportunity to join a supportive, dynamic, responsive (and fun!) People Team is here.
This is a key role in delivering a great colleague experience. You will be coaching, advising
and equipping managers with the information, guidance, and tools they need to get the best from
and develop their direct reports and teams.
Reporting to the Director for People Operations, you will join two other People Advisors, all
playing an integral role, steering and progressing strategic people projects and initiatives
across the organisation.
You will keep yourself up to date with best practice, identify opportunities to improve our
offer to colleagues and be able to manage projects to continually improve the colleague
We offer true hybrid working, a flexible mix of working from home and travel to a nearby office
hub in Edinburgh. In this role there is a requirement for occasional overnight trips for wider
People and Organisational Development Team days held once every quarter in Bristol.
You should have experience of coaching and supporting managers to ensure our colleagues are
well supported at all levels, we work in a hybrid way so much of this work can be done via
In addition, you must have experience of managing varied casework and employee relation cases,
including investigations, disciplinary, grievance resolution and colleague capability.
You will build relationships easily across a wide range of people. You will regularly meet with
managers across the devolved nations; supporting not only our Scotland team but the smaller
teams in Northern Ireland and Wales as well.
We ask you have a sound understanding and working knowledge of Employment Law and are able to
effectively communicate this, in an understandable and relatable way, to Line Managers and
