This is a permanent, full-time position.

We are currently seeking to recruit a Senior Lecturer to join our academic Faculty as part of the Foundation Year team. At BGU, we offer a range of undergraduate degrees with foundation year which provide life-changing opportunities for learners to access undergraduate study through a non-traditional route. You will teach students using a variety of methods, to suit each subject and group. Our Foundation Year team believe in combining the best aspects of traditional university teaching with innovative techniques to promote student participation and interactivity. As such, we are looking to appoint enthusiastic and innovative academics to these posts.

Another key aspect to the role involves acting as a personal tutor, providing academic and pastoral support to ensure that students are empowered to make the best possible progress in their learning. We have excellent services available to support you in this, including our Centre for Enhancement in Learning and Teaching (CELT), Student Advice, BG Futures, and Library, as well as our IT and Digital Learning teams.

The Senior Lecturer post also includes cohort-wide responsibilities for student recruitment and progression, in support of the Programme Leader.
