About usThe Department of Neuromuscular Diseases is a hub for clinical and research excellence across the spectrum of spinal cord and neuromuscular diseases. Our group of world-leading clinical, genetic and basic science researchers focus their work on understanding the causes and biological mechanisms leading to Neuromuscular Disease and translating this knowledge into developing novel therapeutic solutions that is of direct benefit to neurological disorders such as motor neurone disease, Alzheimer’s disease, and neuromuscular disease.About the roleWe are seeking a Personal Assistant/Senior Administrator to provide Professor Reilly and her team with full personal assistant support, as well as provide a broader administrative support function for the group. This will include taking responsibility for Professor Reilly’s diary management, travel arrangements, CV, and correspondence, and ensuring the smooth and efficient daily running of Professor Reilly’s and the group’s administrative, academic, and research work. You will also provide project management and administrative support for all Professor Reilly’s research grants in close collaboration with the Departmental Administrator and ION/UCL Finance teams ensuring appropriate governance, regulations, and policies are followed.The role is available immediately and funded for one year in the first instance.The post is offered part-time at 29.2 hours per week (0.8 Full Time Equivalent). This role is eligible for hybrid working with a minimum of 40% of time on site.If you need reasonable adjustments or a more accessible format to apply for this job online, or have any queries regarding the application process, please contact the Institute of Neurology HR Team ( ).Informal enquiries regarding the role can be addressed to Professor Mary Reilly ( ).A full job description and person specification for this role can be accessed below.About youYou will be educated to A-level or equivalent vocational standard and have substantial administrative experience with proven senior PA experience, including the management of large budgets.Being a proficient IT user is essential, as are outstanding communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and flexibility in your approach to work.Interest and knowledge of the clinical and research environment as well as experience with database management is desirable.This role does not meet the eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa certificate of sponsorship under UK Visas and Immigration legislation. Therefore UCL will not be able to sponsor individuals who require right to work in the UK to carry out this role.What we offerSalary is offered in the range £34,499.20 – £41,288 (i.e., 80% of £43,124 – £51,610) per annum including London Allowance.As well as the exciting opportunities this role presents, we also offer great benefits, some of which are below:
