Job descriptionSchool of Sport, Exercise and Health SciencesFull-time , Fixed-term for 5 years or upon completion of PhD (whichever is sooner)To comply with studentship requirements, the start date is fixed at 14th July 2025.This vacancy is only available to applicants who are eligible to work and study in the UK as the role does not meet the requirements for Visa sponsorship under UK immigration regulations.Combining a teaching role with postgraduate research, this PGTA position is an exciting opportunity to complete a PhD under the supervision of Loughborough University’s expert staff while gaining invaluable experience in the delivery of learning and teaching.This PGTA position sits within the School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences at Loughborough University and will support the teaching of Strength & Conditioning and Neuromuscular Physiology.Teaching roles will include:
Candidates should have a strong, relevant, educational background, excellent communication skills and experience of undertaking a research project. Ideally the candidates should bring significant applied experience in a relevant area.The PhD topic must fall within the School’s research themes: Sport Performance, Lifestyle for Health and Wellbeing, and Sport, Business and Society. The topic will be selected at a later stage.Studentship tuition fees will be paid by the University, but no additional studentship stipend will be paid as this position will attract a full-time ‘Specialist & Supporting Academic’ Grade 5 salary (£29,179 – £34,132 per annum).
