We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced educator to join our team to develop our Physics/Engineering curriculum. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering tutoring experiences that help students preparing for exams and university admissions as well as working collaboratively with SLT to further scale the business and expand our educational offering. You’ll use your strong background in physics engineering and proven track record of success in teaching and tutoring students at secondary school to help set up student for success in their future.Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans and teaching materials for GCSE, A-level, and IB exams, as well as for university admissions
- Deliver your materials via one-on-one and small group tutoring
- Assess and monitor student progress and provide regular feedback
- Provide quality assurance for the academic program and helping ensure every student’s experience is a positive one
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Remain up-to-date in the field of physics/engineering and incorporate relevant developments (specifically changes to the exam syllabus and university admission requirements) into lesson plans and tutoring sessions.
- Prepare and deliver training for colleagues
- Partnering with SLT on business development
Qualifications And Competencies
- Strong background in Physics/Engineering, ideally holding a Bachelor’s from The University of Oxford, Cambridge or Top 10 US University.
- Master’s or PhD in Physics/Engineering preferred, but not required
- Proven track record of success in teaching and tutoring students, helping them achieve top grades and gaining admission to the top universities in the world.
- Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is an advantage but not required.
- Confident decision maker able to work on own initiative
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A flexible approach to work & hours of work undertaken is essential
- Team leadership and staff management experience desirable
