The Opportunity

 

Primarily focusing on women’s empowerment and economic development, and under the supervision of the Project Officer and the Country MERL specialist at the East Region/Plan International Cameroon Office, the SheCan M&E Officer is responsible for designing and implementing the monitoring and evaluation framework for the Project’s activities “Empowering women and girls to realize their rights to access and benefit from economic opportunities, financial inclusion, and gender equality in crisis-affected communities in the East Region”, in line with the strategic orientations and programmatic and administrative standards of the donor and Plan International.

The incumbent is also responsible for developing and implementing M&E tools and systems for cash-based programming, conducting impact assessments, overseeing data collection and analysis related to beneficiary selection, and ensuring the quality and accuracy of data at both the beneficiary and partner levels. You will also contribute to the evaluation of partnerships with financial service providers and other actors involved in the implementation of the project.

As SheCan M&E Officer, you will be based in Bertoua, with frequent trips to the different areas of intervention of the project to conduct monitoring activities and support data collection efforts.

The Individual

 

We are looking to recruit a qualified candidate, with a degree in statistics/mathematics, epidemiology, public health or a solid training in MEAL or related discipline. Familiar with the principles and current approaches to M&E in development projects, including (quantitative and qualitative approaches to data collection) with at least three years of experience in handling statistics and /or monitoring and evaluation projects, preferably in women’s empowerment or community development. As SheCan M&E Officer, you will have proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
