Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation Officer

How can you make a difference? 

The Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation Officer reports to the Deputy Representative for supervision. The Officer provides professional technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the planning, monitoring, evaluation process preparing, executing, managing and implementing a variety of technical and administrative tasks to contribute to evaluation planning, implementation, oversight and reporting to ensure that evaluations are carried out according to schedule and that results and recommendations are implemented and followed up.

Your main responsibilities will be…

  • Setting Standards for Programme performance planning and monitoring
  • Support to the preparation of the integrated monitoring and evaluation plan (IMEP)
  • Support to implementation of evaluations
  • Dissemination and follow up of evaluations
  • Networking and partnership building
  • Innovation, knowledge management and capacity building

Minimum requirements:

  • Education: A University Degree in economics, statistics, planning development, programme management, development management, development studies.

  • Work Experience: A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in social development analysis and programming at the international and/or in a developing country is required.

It will be considered an asset if you have…

  • Relevant experience in an UN system agency or organization is considered.
  • Knowledge of other official UN languages is considered an asset.
  • Language Requirements: Fluency in Spanish and English is required.
