Reports To: Manager, PMO ProgramsPosition SummaryThe CPMO Lead will be part of the overall Corporate Project Management Office leadership team, and will report directly to the Manager, Programs & Project Management Office. You will collaborate with CPMO leadership to understand, further develop, support, and enable a team of seasoned project managers and consultants to ensure successful delivery of strategic programs and/or projects. You will provide delivery oversight to ensure alignment of project outcomes with overall portfolio delivery plans. You will support the establishment of appropriate KPIs to demonstrate and communicate CPMO portfolio performance and health of projects. You will foster a culture of continuous improvements to mature the CPMO operating model, including the development and implementation of process, guiding principles, project delivery standards, and artefacts.Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of approximately 10 senior professionals and provide required direction and coaching in support of performance management, career growth, succession planning, and ongoing development.
  • Provide oversight and proactive analysis to ensure the CPMO project portfolio is successfully delivered within appropriate quality, timeline, and budget requirements, while adhering to CPMO framework and process.
  • Establish, maintain, and govern project management methodologies, tools, and templates in collaboration with CPMO leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver accurate and timely ongoing project and CPMO portfolio level reporting for senior leaders.
  • Apply leadership skills to remove obstacles and resolve issues.
  • Establish, nurture, and expand relationships with Project Sponsors and key business stakeholders.
  • Stay current with recognized project management methodologies, business analysis, and change management best practices.
  • Establish and support a team culture the aligns with Medavie’s core values and mission.

Security Clearance Requirement: In conjunction with our contract with the Federal Government, you will be required to have Reliability Status Clearance (Enhanced Level B) prior to your start date. This includes; Fingerprinting, Criminal Record Check, Credit Check and you must have resided in Canada for at least 5 years and hold Permanent Resident or Citizenship Status.Required QualificationsEducation:Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
