Coverage Director – Airways for Europe (A4E)

What we’re in search of:

A4E is in search of a Coverage Director to affix its group in Brussels. The profitable candidate will develop technique, construct trade positions and execute advocacy campaigns on key points for A4E members..

 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• An educational background in politics, legislation, economics, worldwide relations, or European affairs.
• At the least 7 years’ expertise working in EU affairs, e.g. in trade, commerce associations, the EU establishments, different authorities our bodies, or public affairs consultancies. Prior expertise in aviation or transport coverage is a plus.
• Good information of the EU establishments, the political processes and legislative procedures. A observe file of influencing related stakeholders on coverage and laws.
• Good understanding of public coverage points associated to move/mobility and local weather/sustainability. Data of the aviation trade is a plus.
• A powerful curiosity in EU coverage and politics, the airline sector or transport extra broadly.
• Sturdy communication expertise (oral and written) in English. Data of an extra European language (e.g. Spanish or  German) is a plus.
   

THE POLICY DIRECTOR WILL:

 

• Be liable for A4E’s work in particular coverage domains, e.g. airports or shopper affairs.
• Chair and handle the work of A4E working teams or skilled teams composed of airline members.
• Suggest and develop trade positions on related points in shut cooperation with A4E members.
• Construct and execute advocacy plans to realize A4E’s coverage targets. Handle and lead brief or long-term campaigns.
• Have interaction with officers and legislators within the Council of the EU, European Fee and European Parliament in Brussels, and the identical within the nationwide capitals.
