Scottish Wildlife Trust
Policy Manager – Terrestrial
Salary £33,000 – £36,000 dependent on experience
Location Leith, Edinburgh with flexibility for hybrid approach
Permanent, full time
About the role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced environmental and/ or land use policy
specialist to join the Trust to lead our Terrestrial policy team to deliver on our Strategy
2030 goals. We want to maximise our impact to ensure we are a key player in Scotland being
recognised internationally for the part it has played in the UN’s decade on Ecosystem
Restoration and we need a strong policy leader to coordinate and advocate for our policy
agendas to help achieve this.
About you:
Your passion for conservation and your demonstrable experience of policy development will
ensure that you are a natural advocate, and our policy agendas will be well received as a
result. You should be able to demonstrate strong understanding of environmental policy,
achieved either through a higher qualification or through working experience in a similar
field. Experience of policy campaign work and developing key policy asks for government would
be highly desirable. You will be a natural team leader, fostering a collaborative approach to
ensure whole team success.
