Position description
The Department of Political Science and Security & Conflict Lab at Emory University invite applications for a Post-Doctoral Fellowship for the 2024-2025 academic year. There is a possibility of renewal pending satisfactory performance and continued funding.
Directed by Professor Renard Sexton, the Security and Conflict Lab conducts cutting-edge empirical research on conflict around the globe, with a particular interest in research that has direct policy applications. The Fellow will work closely with Professor Sexton to manage the Lab, collaborate on research initiatives, collect and analyze data from field projects, and interact with partners such as the Empirical Studies of Conflict (ESOC) consortium and the Carter Center. The Fellow will also participate in the academic activity of the department and will have time to conduct their own research.
Salary is competitive. Ph.D. must be in hand before beginning the appointment, with a target of September 2024. On site availability in Atlanta is preferred, though certain hybrid work schedules are negotiable.
