Job description
CK Group are recruiting for a Polymer Technologist on behalf of a leading multinational producer of household plastic products at their site in Cramlington on a permanent basis, offering a salary up to £35,000 per annum. The company offer excellent opportunities for personal development and career progression, as well as structured training.The Role:To contribute to the development of new products and provide technical support to customers.
It is desirable for the candidate to have an understanding of polymers, resins and surface coating/decorating technologies (printing, priming, embossing etc.)Responsibilities of a successful candidate:
- Evolution of existing products and processes
- Provide technical support and assistance for internal customers, external customers and suppliers
- Management of product evaluation and testing as agreed with departmental manager.
- Manage and control formulation changes in response to product and process requirements.
- Ensure products comply with current regulations and quality requirements, through establishing control specifications and testing procedures.
- Provide technical support and expertise for customers
Candidate Requirements:– Degree (BSc, MSc, PhD etc.) in Chemistry, Polymer Science or Material Science is essential.
– Previous industrial or post-graduation experience within polymer industry
