We are the largest provider of Nursing, Midwifery, Health and Social Care students in the East of England, and we are also among the UK’s leading universities for degree apprenticeship provision, working with hundreds of employers across the UK.About the Role:Our Allied Health Professions (AHP) Workforce Research Partnership brings together multidisciplinary research partners to focus on AHP workforce research using participatory approaches. Our co-applicants and partners have lived experience of AHP workforce challenges in education, service delivery and research in under-served populations. A major strength of this partnership is the in-depth understanding of the AHP workforces and the challenges they experience when working within acute, community and primary care environments.The project aims to deliver sustainable workforce improvements which benefit patients through robust research and implementation of AHP workforce innovations. The partnership will be a catalyst for research responding to policy imperatives relating to AHP supply, retention, role/scope, engagement, innovations, impact and optimal allocation. We will engage in knowledge mobilisation and exchange that supports commissioners and AHP leaders with knowledge and resources required to implement a sustainable AHP workforce in rural / coastal regions and deprived urban areas.You will have a PhD and have experience of workforce related research and an interest in the health and care sector. You will be able to undertake applied research, using recognised methods including literature review, qualitative research, and contribute to analysis by way of descriptive statistics. You must be able to operate well in a multi-disciplinary environment with excellent written and oral communication skills, be IT literate with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office and a comprehensive understanding of techniques applicable to the research area. The research project involves multiple workpackages and you will be expected to work independently on a range of activity with colleagues and partners across several universities.
